NUJ Reacts to Postponement of Elections by INEC

INEC postponement of elections, cast doubt on elections outcome says NUJ Rivers State chairperson

More reactions have continued to trail the postponement of the 2019 general elections in Nigeria by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Reacting to the development, the chair person of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) Rivers State chapter, south-south Nigeria, has said that the postponement of the elections by INEC, raises doubts on the ability of the electoral body to organize free, fair and credible elections, stating that some level of trust has been removed from INEC as a result of the postponement. On the other hand, other stakeholders share contrary views on the development urging Nigerians not to despair.
