Ruling party, APC's candidate announced as President-elect by INEC Chairman.
Nigeria’s Ruling party candidate Bola Tinubu was declared the winner of Nigeria’s disputed presidential election in the early hours of this morning. And he has, maybe unsurprisingly, been defending the integrity of polls.
According to the Independent National Electoral Commission, or INEC, Tinubu won 8.79 million votes in the weekend election. Main opposition challenger Atiku Abubakar tallied at 6.98 million votes. Peter Obi, was on 6.1 million.
PDP's Atiku Abubakar and Labour Party's Peter Obi have rejected the outcome.”Heavily doctored and manipulated” is how they described the results declared by INEC's Chairman, Prof. Mahmoud Yakubu at the National Collation center.
