Nigerian Government to Deploy CCTV and Drone Cameras in Forests to Curb Insurgency

Government advised to carry out risk assessment before deployment

The Federal Government of Nigeria has devised a new means of tackling insurgency in the country. The government said it is set to achieve zero tolerance of insurgency by installing CCTV cameras on the highways and to use drones to monitor forests.

Meanwhile Nigerians, have reacted to the new development by the government, officials after commending the President for this new step also advised government to embark on a risk assessment for the new technology it is expected to work effectively in the country.
