INEC commences recruitment of Ad-hoc personnel in preparation for 2019 general elections in Nigeria

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), which is the electoral body responsible for the conduct of Nigeria's elections, begins recruitment of ad-hoc staff in readiness for the 2019 general elections just weeks away. The polls will commence on the 16th of February with the presidential and national assembly elections while gubernatorial and state assemblies elections will hold on the 2nd of March. Report says that the total number of registered voters for the 2019 election is above 84 million. This shows an increase of about 50 million more registered voters than the record in the 2015 general election, which stood at 68 million.
