Heads of Southern EU Countries Discuss Brexit Preparedness and Migration Challenges

UK's decision to leave the EU is regrettable but one we respect says leaders of Southern EU countries gathered at a summit

The leaders of Southern European Union (EU) countries during a summit in Nicosia, discussed Brexit preparedness and migration challenges. The one-day meeting, which held in the capital city of Cyprus, had in attendance the leaders of France, Italy, Portugal, Malta, Greece, and Cyprus. Also in attendance was the foreign minister of Spain. The leaders collectively agreed that UK's decision to exit the European Union, remains regrettable but one they all respect. This was disclosed in a written statement, which also conveyed statement of the southern EU countries preparedness for the consequences of Britain's exit from the European Union.
