Death Toll Rises above 1,763 Souls
The rescue teams only found two bodies during their morning search on Monday under the ruins of Indonesia’s earthquake in Bali Rohan village where more than a thousand are still missing. Bali Rohan Village was one of the places particularly hard hit by soil liquid fraction after the 7.5 magnitude quake on the 20th of September. Excavators have regularly retrieved dozens of bodies from the ravel of Bali Rohan Village and in one instance find 34 in one location, but rescuers say bodies are been found deeper under the mud and gravel. The official death toll on Sulawesi Island has risen to a staggering 1,763 souls. The National Disaster NCC on Sunday said large scale searches with many personnel and heavy equipment would cease on the October the 11th. However, the residents of the Village say they were against the decisions of Government and the rescue operations.
