Ghanaian Peacekeepers Appreciated by the UN

Ghanaian troops receive commendation for long-standing contribution to UN peacekeeping

Ghana is said to be amongst the top ten providers of uniform officers for United Nations peacekeeping activities and has therefore received commendation from the UN for its long-standing contribution to UN peacekeeping activities across Africa. The Kofi Anan International Training Center, which kicked off operations since 2002, has since then, helped to prepare future Ghanaian peacekeepers for service. In recognition of this laudable contribution to peacekeeping, the United Nations decided to specially appreciate Ghana for its assistance.
