Fight against insurgency intensifies as Nigeria and China sign a memorandum of understanding to counter Insurgency
Owing to the undeterred commitment of the Federal Government of Nigeria to the fight against insurgency, a partnership agreement with the Peoples Republic of China has been reached with the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) by both countries to wage war against insurgency. This is to allow China offer assistance the armed forces of Nigeria to strengthen its counter insurgency measures. Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, Masur Dan Ali and the Chinese Ambassador, Zhou Pinggjian did the signing of the MOU on behalf of both countries. This development resulted from President Mohammadu Buhari's official visit to China in September 2018.
