More than 70,000 displaced and left without food and shelter
Survivors of the recent Hurricane Dorian in the Bahamas have been progressively relocated to the capital of the country, where temporary shelters have been set up for them to keep up with at the moment. At least not more than one-fifth of the country’s population amounting to 70,000 have been left without food and shelter after the terrible disaster.
In spite of the large number of the population affected by the disaster, the country has received some immense support and donations from the international community for survivors of Hurricane Dorian, yet many more still suffer from the psychological effects caused by the disaster.
