Team Calls for Government Support in Safety of Officials While Delivering Services

The crisis in the North-Eastern part of Nigeria has remained one of the most severe in the world as over 80 percent of internally displaced people are currently in Borno State in The Nigerian North East, which is the epicenter of the crisis and over 60 percent of the people are living in the host communities. The World Food Program (WFP) country representative in Nigeria has spoken of the safety of the officials while delivering services to the displaced people of the region. It would be recalled that the crisis in the region has lingered in the its ninth year since the break out of insurgency.
