Mr. Johnson Under Pressure to Answer Questions
In a bid to occupy the seat of the Prime Minister, the two major contenders for the office, Jeremy Hunt and Boris Johnson have gone head to head in a debate session.
Amongst several unfolding facts about the UK exit of the EU, Mr. Hunt challenged his rival to reveal if he would call for a general election if MPs refused to allow the UK leave the EU without a deal on that date.
The date for the UK’s departure from the EU was moved to October 31 after Prime Minister Theresa May failed to secure a Brexit deal through the parliament earlier in the year. Meanwhile Mr. Johnson has stated that the UK will definitely face a democratic explosion if it does not leave the EU by October 31.
