The collapse of the bridge at Genoa killing 39 persons has evoked reactions from the head of transportation in the country- the transport minister Danilo Toninelli. In an interview with him, Danilo attributed the collapse of the bridge to structural mistake which in his remarks would heavily penalized. Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte said on Wednesday (August 15) after an emergency cabinet meeting that the government would not await the outcome of a criminal inquiry into the motorway collapse that killed 39 people this week before moving to strip Autostrade of its toll concession.
