Conservative MP, Dr. Lee Defects to Labor Over Brexit Showdown with Prime Minister Boris Johnson

Defection means Boris Johnson no longer has a working majority in Parliament

The British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson has lost his working majority member of parliament, Philip Lee to Labor Party. Dr. Lee defected to the Liberal Democrats during a presentation from the Prime Minister on the Brexit issue.

According to Lee, after a great deal of thought, he reached the conclusion that he could no longer serve his constituency in their interest as a serving member of Parliament under the Conservative Party. Mr. Lee stated this in a letter addressed to the Prime Minister. Dr. Lee’s defection means that Boris Johnson, no longer has a working majority in the Parliament. Mr. Lee cited that he would rather, that the UK negotiates proper exit from the European Union.
