Russia and Ukraine Exchange Prisoners to Ease Tensions in Both Countries

35 Prisoners each released and exchanged by both countries

 In what was seen as a move to strengthen ties and ease tensions in the two oil rich countries, Russia and Ukraine took the bold step to release 35 prisoners each, making it a significant step towards peace moves in both countries.

The planes carried the freed Russian and Ukrainian prisoners and landed at the Russian capital, Moscow. Meanwhile the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky has hailed the move and described it as the very first step towards ending the war in the eastern part of the country and also returning the territory annexed by Moscow.
