70 representatives and 58 house lawmakers refuse Pay until shutdown ends
Representative Dan Crenshaw, a fresh man congressman from Texas has said that he would forgo his pay as the partial government shut down is set to hit week three at the end of this week. He said in an interview ““I cannot in good conscience get paid while federal employees’ financial futures hang in the balance because of this partial government shutdown,” “I’ve asked the Chief Administrative Officer to withhold my pay until we have come to an agreement to adequately fund border security.” He said he is joining more than 70 other members of congress, including 58 House Lawmakers and Senators who have also refused to take their pay since December 22nd.
