Kenya intelligent sources trace Nairobi's complex attack suspects to Dadaab refugee camp
Intelligent report says twelve suspects have been arrested in connection with the tragic terrorist attack that occurred in an office and hotel complex in Kenya's capital city, Nairobi, two weeks ago. The suspects were said to have been taken into custody from the Dadaab refugee camp. Dadaab, a semi-arid town in Kenya's Garissa County plays host to United Nations refugee agency base with over 200,000 registered refugees and asylum seekers. A large number of the refugees are from Somali where Al shabaab militants have been fighting United Nations and Somali forces in the bid to establish a sharia state in the country. The connection between the suspects and the refugee camp therefore leaves Kenya authorities with the challenge of dealing with internal security and offering humanitarian assistance.
