Jones and the research team say the latest discoveries provide significant evidence supporting the Ark theory and warrant further investigation
Researchers investigating a boat-shaped formation in eastern Turkey say they have found evidence they believe points to the remains of Noah’s Ark. The findings center on the 538-foot Durupınar Formation near Mount Ararat, a site that has been linked to the biblical Ark for decades. The research team, working with Noah’s Ark Scans founder Andrew Jones and Turkish academic partners, has used advanced radar scans, soil analysis and core drilling to examine the formation.
Researchers say the scans revealed unusual linear and angular structures beneath the surface, including features they interpret as possible corridors, compartments and internal levels. Recent drilling also reportedly recovered layers of dark, organic-rich soil, which the team believes could be associated with decayed wooden material.
Jones and the research team say the latest discoveries provide significant evidence supporting the Ark theory and warrant further investigation. Laboratory analysis of the soil and core samples is now expected to determine whether the organic material contains traces consistent with ancient wood or human activity. While the researchers regard the findings as evidence of the biblical vessel, the results have not yet undergone independent peer review.
