Nigerian Government Warns Against Maltreatment of Its Citizens Living Abroad

Government Assures of Stronger Relationships with Other Countries

The Chairman of the Nigerian Diaspora Commission, Mrs Abike Dabiri- Erewa has addressed the issue of Nigerians being maltreated in foreign countries. The Commissioner while addressing newsmen stated that innocent Nigerians should not be made to suffer on account of infractions committed by a few with deviant behaviours outside the country. The Federal Government through the Commissioner has warned that its citizens deserve same hospitality it accords other nationals residing in the country. The Commissioner also assured that the life of a singular Nigerian means a lot to the government and that the government has gotten the assurance of safety on its citizens from countries like Ghana, Togo and other countries where Nigerians are grievously maltreated.
