What measures should be adopted to smoothen Nigeria's electoral process going forward

In view of the long standing history of election postponements in Nigeria since the inception of democracy especially with the most recent one; the postponement of the 2019 general elections, what measures should be taken to smoothen the electoral process in Nigeria going forward is the question posed to all stakeholders. In the featured video, LoveWorld correspondent examines some of the issues that need to be reviewed and improved on, in order to enhance and smoothen the electoral process in Nigeria. Some of the issues identified include; security challenges, late arrival of voting materials, poor weather conditions amongst others. Nevertheless, some stakeholders interviewed called for support for the electoral body INEC. Stakeholders say, that the postponement need not deter the electorate from casting their votes on the new announced dates. On the other hand, the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) and main opposition party; the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), both expressed disappointment in INEC's decision to shift the elections. They also expressed empathy for the electorate.
