NBA Accuses INEC of Aiding and Abetting Rigging

NBA blasts INEC officials for involvement in rigging as INEC boss promise probing of errors in election results announced

The Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) has released a statement accussing officials of the electoral umpire in Nigeria (INEC), of aiding and abetting fraudulent politicians to rig elections. Meanwhile INEC chairman, Mahmood Yakubu says the commission will probe some already identified calculation errors in the results of last Saturdays presidential and national assembly polls. Despite Yakubu's promise, the Coalition of United Political Parties (COUPP), have rejected the election results collated and announced by INEC. The group further accused INEC boss of condonning the election malpractice as national chairman of the PDP, Uche Secondus raises alarm over the inconsistencies observed with the result from Nassarawa State, north-central Nigeria.
