Heart specialist also recommends smiling to improve health in addition to exercise and diet
A heart specialist, Dr. Anand Chockalingam has said smiling is a recommended antidote to stress. Exercise and good diet are keys to healthier living but smiling is just as necessary. According to him, when we smile, the brain wiring gets altered and positive chemicals are released, breaking the link between stress and health. Smiles bring relaxation, which in turn directly lowers blood pressure, and improve blood sugar.
