EU Vows not to Compromise Integrity of Single Market After Brexit

The European Union (EU), chief Brexit negotiator, Michel Barnier has warned that the EU, will never compromise on the integrity of its single market. He said London must now face the reality after underestimating the cost of leaving the European Union. Barnier insists that negative consequences of Brexit, are unavoidable.

On the other hand, some British politicians are of the opinion that Brussels might be flexible on its rules in order to protect trade flows in talks due to begin after the UK officially leaves the EU on Friday, January 31st.
