Super Eagles begin final preparation for AFCON 2019 in Egypt

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) president, Amaju Pinnick has announced the commencement of final preparations by the Nigerian national football team, the Super Eagles, for the Egypt 2019 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) scheduled to kick off in March. Pinnick who reiterated the commitment of his administration to ensuring Nigeria retains the title as Africa champions said no stone would be left unturned to see the Eagles fly the Nigerian national flag high in Egypt by lifting the trophy as Africa champions for the fourth time. The preparations are to begin with Nigeria's last group match of the qualifiers series against Seychelles in Asaba, Delta State on the 22nd of March followed by series of friendly matches to fine tune the squad before the competition proper.
