FIFA pays close attention to activities of NFF as it shelves ban on Nigeria

The World Football Governing body FIFA has shelved the ban it planned to place on Nigeria from international soccer, citing the Federal Governments pledge to abide by the protocol binding member-countries of the body. The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), led by Melvin Amaju Pinnick, has recently been facing some crisis in its leadership structure. FIFA had given the body an ultimatum to exercises its functions without undue government interference. It threatened to ban the country indefinitely from international football if government did not meet the terms of its protocol.
