Australia Blames Foreign Governments Over Cyber Attacks on Parliament’s Network

Major Political Parties Affected by the Attack

The cyber-attacks which was carried out on the lawmakers have caused a tension in the forthcoming parliamentary elections. It is believed that the attacks were carried out by foreign governments, Prime Minister Morris Scott said this while urging the lawmakers to quickly change their passwords as the country heads for their general elections in May. The networks of the major political parties in the country were affected as the hackers breached the network of the National Parliament. The Prime Minister however assured the lawmakers that effective measures have been put in place protect the integrity of the country’s electoral system.
