“We need to do some more praying this month" — Pastor Chris Oyakhilome.
As is customary in the Loveworld nation, the month of June was once again pronounced as the Month of Prayer by the man of God, Reverend (Dr.) Chris Oyakhilome DSc., DSc., DD at the just concluded June Global Communion Service held on Sunday, June 1st. “That means we’re going to pray more than we usually do,” the man of God recounted, as he emphasised the importance of prayer in the kingdom of God.
In a solemn admonition, Pastor Chris entreated the saints to add extra time to their prayer sessions. While, in a structured manner, God’s people are led by the man of God to pray specifically on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, Pastor Chris emphasized that the remaining days should also be included in their prayer times. The man of God also directed the global congregation to engage in early morning prayers. These instructions corroborate the scripture: “pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17).” Taking a cue from the life of Jesus, Pastor Chris urged the saints to saturate their lives with prayer throughout the month.
Congratulations to all LoveWorld citizens and all followers of Pastor Chris. Welcome to June, 'the Month of Prayer’.
