Lagos city ranks sixth in least expensive cities globally, live-ability survey reveals
The city of Lagos, southwest Nigeria, has been ranked as the sixth cheapest city in the world to live. This is according to reports from the Economic Intelligence Unit survey which compared more than 400 individual prices across 160 products and services including food, clothing, house hold supplies, personal care items, utility bills, transport, private schools, recreational costs amongst others. Using New York City as the standard, Lagos claimed 6th position in the list of 10 cheapest cities in the world alongside Karachi, former capital and most populous city in Pakistan.
