"Leicester City squad and owner's family pay tribute to five who died in helicopter crash at King Power Stadium"
The King Power Stadium on Monday, saw Leicester City's first team squad gather on its pitch to pay tribute to the club's owner; Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha who died in helicopter crash.
Vichai and four others were confirmed dead after his helicopter crashed close to the King Power Stadium.
Mr Srivaddhanaprabha’s aircraft plummeted to the ground and erupted in flames an hour after Leicester’s 1-1 draw with West Ham, in a Premier league match on Saturday. The 61-year-old was on board with two personal assistants and two crewmembers.
The club's 2015/2016 title winning squad including Danish goal keeper Kasper Peter Schmeichel and former England striker, Jamie Vardy, led the team to observe the mass and pay their tribute to Vichai.
Vichai's son; Aiyawatt and wife; Aimon also joined the squad to pay tribute to the deceased.
