Archaeologists Discover Collection of Ornate Jewelry, Others in Pompeii

Discovery gave Archaeologists insight into female world of ancient Rome

 Collection of ornate jewelry, glass beads and good luck charms is said to have been found in Pompeii by Archaeologist working in the city. According to the archaeologists, the discovery of the ancient ornaments has given them an insight into the female world of the ancient Rome.

The collection which includes two mirrors, and several pieces of a necklace, pieces of bronze, bone and amber as well as a human figure and several phallic amulets were found in a wooden box in the House of the Garden in the Regio V section of the site.
