Jonathan warns security agencies against extra-judicial killings ahead of 2019 general elections in Nigeria
Nigeria's former president, Goodluck Jonathan has lend his voice to speak on forth coming 2019 general elections in Nigeria. Jonathan warns security agencies in Nigeria against extra-judicial killings during the elections and also called on the youths to desist from violence and be peaceful all through the elections period. This advise was given by the former president when youth groups in the Niger Delta led by the president of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC), Oweilaemi Pereotubo paid him a courtesy visit at the Goodluck Jonathan Foundation office in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, south-south Nigeria. Jonathan said this, reacting to President Mohammadu Buhari's warning on a live broadcast during the APC caucus meeting, that anyone who tries to tamper with ballot boxes and the votes during the polls in Nigeria, risks his or her life. President Buhari also accused the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of incompetence.
