Pharmacists, Doctors, NAFDAC and other health agencies, unite to fight the menace
Major stakeholders in the Nigerian health sector; have come together to seek proficient ways to fight against drug abuse in the country. This group consists of Medical Doctors, Pharmacists, the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control as well as other stakeholders in the Nigerian health sector.
During a symposium held in Lagos, southwest of Nigeria, issues relating to drug abuse and ways of curbing the menace, were extensively discussed by the group. Speaking at the symposium, former Nigeria’s Minister of Health, Julius Adelusi-Adeluyi, lamented the moral decadence caused by drug abuse in the society and called on all stakeholders to play their roles in order to remedy the situation.
