Hydroxychloroquine seen to have side effects on patients.
The Director General of the World Health Organization, Dr. Tedros Adhanom has announced a temporary suspension of clinical trials of the anti-malaria drug hydroxychloroquine for the treatment of COVID-19 patients. The DG made this announcement during a press briefing, stating that the organization has perceived the dangers of the drugs to Coronavirus positive patients. According to the Director General, the suspension of the drug was a collective decision from the executive group while the safety data undergoes review by the safety data monitoring board.
