Young graduates demand for Jobs from government ministries
Thousands of young graduates in the oil rich country of Iraq, have come out to demonstrate against the government over the high rate of unemployment in the country. Unemployment in the country which currently stands at 22 percent has led to demonstrations at government ministries, by unemployed graduates, demanding for jobs from the government.
The government on the other hand, admitted that it had not planned to recruit large number of graduates coming into the market every year due to the low standard of the economy which was hallowed out by the years of conflict marked by the country. The demonstrations took place in the heart of Baghdad with young men and women crying for job opportunities from the government ministries.
