Platform does not allow targeting users on the basis of their religion
Google owned video streaming platform YouTube has barred users from placing ads containing the keyword Christian on their platform.
This was made public by the founder of an organization that serves military veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder who says that the platform barred him from running an advertisement that used ‘Christian’ as a keyword, but allowed him run the same as using ‘Muslim’ as a keyword.
In his statement, the former Marine and Professional mixed martial arts fighter who founded the Mighty Oaks Foundation stated that he saw his observation as a clear bias shown by the platform.
