Nigeria signs a Memorandum of Understanding to train over 1.5 million students On Information and Communications Technology
The Nigerian government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Oracle Corporation, to train Nigerian students at the secondary school level, on Information and Communications Technology (ICT).
Today, Information and Communications Technology have become the drive of global competitiveness, as a result, the government of Nigeria, believes that Nigerian students acquiring skills in this field, will enable them to be better prepared to compete favorably with their contemporaries globally in this 21st century.
The government says, that the Nigerian educational sector, must embrace the teaching of ICT skills to enable teachers and students contribute more meaningfully to the national economy.
