Speedy expansion of the sleeponomics market as more Koreans seek ways to snooze in least amount of time
Research has shown that most young Koreans work more and sleep less than their international counterparts. This record has led Koreans to embrace the power nap technology and the new business called "Sleeponomics". With this technology, one can get a short eye - snooze and have a good nap in the shortest possible time. Owner of a particular Sleeponomics Cafe, which commenced operations in May 2017, said the center has witnessed rapid growth with increased patronage from young Koreans who would rather go for a short eye power nap. According to a professor of business administration at Chung-Ang University, the market size of Sleeponomics in Korea has jumped to about 4 billion dollars as against 1.7 billion dollars in 2016. The featured video tells more of the story.
