India to become fourth country to achieve a soft landing on the moon if successful
The Indian Space Research Organization has built a spacecraft ready to take off for the moon in July. The spacecraft slated to be launched on July 15 is expected to land on the moon, near the lunar South Pole by September.
If successful, this feat will make India the fourth country to achieve a soft landing on the Moon, following the US, Russia, and China.
