Second caravan of Migrants moving across southern Mexico, arrives the Southern Mexico city of Tapachula
A second caravan with more than 1,000 migrants that forced its way across the river from Guatemala arrives the southern Mexico City of Tapachula.
The first contingents began arriving to camp out in Tapachula's main plaza on Tuesday.
The first, larger caravan also passed through Tapachula about 10 days ago, and now is about 250 miles (400 kilometers) ahead, in the Oaxaca state city of Juchitan.
The migrants, mainly Hondurans say Mexico was a good option for them and they have elected a kind of a group to represent the caravan. They want to discuss their rights and the caravan's future. The Mexican government showed no interest in offering assistance to the migrants except for its Migrant Protection Agency that offered a bit of assistance to the migrants over the weekend.
