Teachers express disappointment in postponement of schools reopening.
As nations all over the world prepare for the ease of lockdown, the South African government has asked the ministers to address the nation on measures to be taken in line with their offices. The basic education minister briefed the nation with regards to the reopening of schools and precautions to be adopted to ensure the prevention of the spread of the virus in schools. Meanwhile, departments have proposed different measures by school bodies and unions to reclaim the school year including cancellation of school holidays for the rest of the year.
