AI can provide inaccurate information and should be treated as a reference tool—not a final authority on matters of faith.
More young Christians are increasingly turning to artificial intelligence for answers about scriptures, spiritual struggles, and personal decisions, before seeking guidance from Pastors or other believers. Experts say AI’s speed, convenience, and seemingly judgment-free nature, make it an attractive first point of contact.
However, Korean theologians warn that AI cannot replace the warmth, empathy, accountability and meaningful relationships found in the genuine Christian community. They also caution that AI can provide inaccurate information and should be treated as a reference tool—not a final authority on matters of faith.
Theologians further warn that relying heavily on instant AI-generated answers, could weaken habits of deep thinking, reflection, and meditation on God’s Word. They are therefore urging churches to strengthen pastoral relationships and help believers develop deeper, more reflective faith, while using technology responsibly.
