More Special Advisers and Special Assistants Resign from Sokoto State Governments Cabinet

Not fewer than 252 special advisers and special assistants to the Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal have resigned from their position in the cabinet.

In a statement signed by the spokesperson of the affected appointees Dasuki Haske, announced this on Sunday at a news conference in the state capital. Mr. Dasuki stated that their decision to resign followed the Governors move to dump the All Progressive Congress (APC), which he said would have a major effect on their loyalty to the APC if they had remained in the cabinet. In reacting to the statement of Mr. Dasuki, the spokesperson to the Governor Abu Shekara disclosed that the Governor had earlier terminated the appointment of the affected special advisers and special assistants from their positions respectively.
