Governor Nyesom Wike has said that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has no power to probe the state government, in a statement by his specil assistant on media, Simeon Nwakaudu, the governor said the EFCC should approach the court of appeal to set aside the 2007 judgement barring the commission from investigating the state. Wike also alleged that the anti-grant agency is out on a political witch-hunt using the media. The governor explained that the state had obtained a court judgement in 2007 restraining the commission from probing it.
