The Global Food Production and Technology Conference 2026, brought together key stakeholders across the food value chain on Tuesday, September 8, to advance food integrity, agricultural innovation, and national self-reliance. Convened by the highly esteemed Pastor Ifeoma Chiemeka, the Executive Minister of the LoveWorld Ministry of Food Technology and Sovereignty, the hybrid conference explored practical solutions spanning crop production, livestock, fisheries, food processing, preservation, distribution and consumption.
The keynote session, “The Foundation of Food Sovereignty: Reclaiming Wholesome Food from Industrial Dependence,” emphasised the need to address concerns surrounding genetically modified foods while promoting natural and sustainable agricultural systems.
Other sessions examined practical indicators for achieving food sovereignty, the role of science and innovation in developing sovereign food systems, and policy strategies for shaping the food future of nations. From soil health management and crop production to food processing, preservation, and enterprise development, participants examined strategies designed to strengthen food systems from soil to table.
The conference also highlighted the importance of technology and innovation in equipping nations to build resilient food industries and reduce dependence on external systems. The landmark gathering further strengthened the momentum behind initiatives such as Food Expo 2026 and the Global Youth Food Producers Initiative, advancing a unified vision for sustainable food production and technology.
With stakeholders drawn from different segments of the food chain, the Conference provided a strategic platform for driving practical action toward greater food sovereignty worldwide.
