The Bible says in Isaiah 58:7 (NLT) “Share your food with the hungry, and give shelter to the homeless. Give clothes to those who need them, and do not hide from relatives who need your help.”
In fulfilling the scripture above, members of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry (LMAM) team, Christ Embassy, Southern Africa Zone 1, launched out for an auspicious time of celebration with the needy around them. With gladness in their hearts and the desire to touch the lives of people in their vicinity, the team organized a special Orphanage Blanket and Food Drive Outreach aimed at sharing the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ as delivered by the man of God, Reverend (Dr.) Chris Oyakhilome, to orphans, and needy people in different centers across the zone.
In groups of different churches, the SA LMAM team, visited orphanages, hospitals, street kids, and child headed homes, where Rhapsody of realities, kiddies rhapsody, foodstuffs, blankets, and other useful items were distributed graciously to the different sects, putting a joyful smile on the lips of the several beneficiaries.
High-point of the outreach was the sharing of God's word with the different groups, leading to a glorious harvest of about 220 people who gave their hearts Christ. Several of the new converts made their way to church for the first time on the Sunday preceding the outreach. Some of them also joined the LMAM in the zone.
What a glorious, and memorable experience it was for both the organizers, and beneficiaries of the special outreach!
