LAGOS, Nigeria - Global experts in cancer care, nuclear medicine and precision oncology, converged at the LoveWorld Medical Centre, Lagos, for the International Symposium on Radio-pharmaceutical Therapy (ISRT), 2026.
The two-day Symposium, which began on Friday, August 28, brought together more than 120 participants from Nigeria and other countries, including South Africa, Algeria, Egypt, Kenya, Ethiopia, Germany, India and the United States of America.
Day One featured keynote presentations, plenary sessions, clinical case discussions and specialised hands-on workshops, with experts examining emerging developments in radio-pharmaceutical therapy, molecular imaging, radioligand therapy and precision oncology.
The symposium continued on August 29, with participants engaging in further scientific sessions, practical learning, and professional exchanges, aimed at advancing radio-theranostics and precision oncology across the continent.
The event which provided a platform for international collaboration and knowledge-sharing, has contributed meaningfully to exploring more innovative approaches to Cancer treatment in Africa, and the rest of the world.
