The United Kingdom set to inject up to £30 million into prosperity and security projects across Africa
The United Kingdom is set to plunge £30 million into security and prosperity projects in Africa. The Minister of State for Africa, Harriett Baldwin, disclosed this before the signing of the partnership at the African Union Commission Headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. According to Harriett, the gesture is part of the UK’s effort aimed at stepping up its investment in the African continent. It also comes as Britain signs a new strategic partnership with the African Union (AU), strengthening the engagement between Africa and the UK government.
